Students of Sakhalin State University learned about the resources of the Presidential Library

From October 15 to October 18, 2018 the Sakhalin Regional Center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the Regional Universal Research Library, hosted a training-presentation “Electronic resources for study, self-education and leisure” for students of Sakhalin State University. The participants learned about the resources of the Presidential Library, the collection of which contains digital copies of the most important documents on the history, theory and practice of the Russian statehood, the Russian language, and were also registered in the electronic reading room.

On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Komsomol, which will be held on October 29, 2018, the regional center employees told students of Sakhalin State University about the history of the creation of the Communist Youth Union, using digital copies of books, periodicals, postcards, photographs and archival materials from the Presidential Library collections.

The Presidential Library provides access to Sakhalin Region: Pages of History collection, available on its portal. The exploration of the territory of Sakhalin Region, the only Russian region completely located on the islands, is represented by travel sketches, geographical and historical descriptions of the middle of the XIX - early XX century, as well as fragments of newsreels of 1929.
