6 January 2021

An exhibition of the artist Gennady Ivanov has been opened at the Rossotrudnichestvo office in London. The exposition helps viewers visualize the impact of climate change on the cold regions of Russia and Canada. The exhibition is virtually available on the representative's YouTube channel.

The London exposition is part of the international multimedia project “Transitions” and is included in the world's largest university freshwater research program “Global Water Futures” (GWF).

Gennady Ivanov works in a unique and innovative partnership with scientists and took part in expeditions and research activities for the Global Future of Water project. This experience is reflected in his work, which has become a shining example of interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Presidential Library invites everyone to learn about the electronic collection Natural Wealth of Russia. It includes digital copies of official documents, monographs, dissertation abstracts, periodicals, archival, visual and other materials. Taking into account the vital importance for the modern world of studying the prospects for climate change (discussions about global warming / cooling, the question of the greenhouse effect), a separate section of the collection concentrates research on the problems of the atmosphere and climate in a historical retrospective.

Only a part of the unique materials is presented on the Presidential Library’s portal.  The national electronic repository in full is available in the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library located in different countries.
