Poland celebrated the 160th anniversary of the construction of the St. Petersburg - Warsaw railway

February 15, 2021 the Museum of the History of Railways in Warsaw with the participation of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Poland hosted a presentation of a historical and memorial project dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the signing of the decree of Emperor Nicholas I on the construction of the St. Petersburg - Warsaw railway and the 160th anniversary of the opening of the St. Petersburg - Warsaw railway.

Anyone interested in the history of railways in Russia can refer to the electronic collections of the Presidential Library. The institution’s portal features a collection West Siberian Railway including studies, essays, reports, reviews, instructions, technical descriptions, guidebooks, maps, reference books, periodicals, visual and video materials related to the history of one of the leading steel lines in Russia, which connects the railways of Eastern Siberia with the roads of the Urals and the European part of Russia.
