Young Volgograd residents discussed children's rights

Marking Children's Day, the Youth Information Center "UM" based on the Regional Center of Information Resources of the Presidential Library of the Gorky Volgograd Regional Universal Scientific Library provided for young readers an interactive game-discussion "I have the right to be healthy!", dedicated to the rights of children and a healthy lifestyle.

The children were invited to learn about the relevant sections in an interactive game form, which were accessed through the Presidential Library’s portal and the Children's website of the President of Russia in order to understand why there are special rights of children and how they differ from ordinary human and civil rights and freedoms.

In addition, they talked about the dangers of smoking, alcohol and drugs.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Volgograd Region: Pages of History. It contains studies, essays, memoirs, archival documents, official statistical collections and reviews, as well as journals of county zemstvo assemblies devoted to the history, archeology, economics, demography and military-administrative development of the territories of the XIII-XX centuries, now part of Volgograd Regions (the former Tsaritsyn and Kamyshin districts of the Saratov province).
