Documentary film project from Presidential Library's collection, dedicated to vast expanses of Russia, presented in Murmans

On July 25, 2025 in the Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library, where the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library operates, a film project from the Presidential Library's collection "Russia from the Train Window" was presented.

The participants of the event watched three documentary films telling about different parts of our country and revealing to the audience a multifaceted image of modern Russia through the prism of a railway journey.

The film Travelling along Murmanka told about the Northern Railway and its surroundings. The narrative centres on the impressive landscapes of the Kola Peninsula, its unique nature and peculiarities of the northern terrain.

The film Caucasus presented the authentic culture, age-old traditions and unique nature of the region.

The film On the Border of a Wild Field Meshchera introduced the audience to the history of the Meshchera land and the natural beauty of the Meshchera lowland.

Documentary film screenings were supplemented by thematic exhibitions of publications.

The Territory of Russia collection is available on the Presidential Library's portal. It includes scientific, popular science and educational publications, archival documents, maps, photos and newsreels characterising the Russian territory.
