The “Orthodox Initiative” training seminar in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Rome

The “Orthodox Initiative” open educational grant tuition program seminar was conducted on September 2, 2017, in the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Rome.

The competition has been held already for 12 years and supports social, educational, outreach and awareness raising, cultural and other initiatives under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Representatives of the Orthodox parishes of Italy, directors and teachers of Russian Sunday church schools, cultural associations from Rome, Bari, Venice, Verona, Naples, Piacenza, Florence took part in the seminar held by an expert Maria Markina. Apart from the general information about the competition, the submissions deadlines and the overall project production progress, the listeners also received detailed information on the project culture needed to define a project and to complete a submission.

“The Most Holy Governing Synod in the history of Russian statehood” digital collection is available on the Presidential Library website. The collection includes more than two thousand entries. Among them — the scientific research works, official documents, reportages, blueprints and drawings, photographs and postcards, periodicals. All collection materials are placed in thematic sections, provided with brief annotations.
