
The exhibition to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad was opened at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Brest
The opening of the exhibition "Stalingrad: 200 Days of Courage", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad, was held at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Brest.
The first visitors were servicemen of the 38th separate Guards of Vienna Red Banner Airborne Assault Brigade.
The tour through the exhibition allowed the soldiers to learn a lot about one of the heroic stages of the Great Patriotic War - the page of the joint history of Russia and Belarus. The servicemen were introduced to the tactics of the Red Army men in city battles during the Battle of Stalingrad. On the example of Y. F. Pavlov, M. D. Baranov, M. A. Passar and other heroes, they learned about the courage of the fighters who defended Stalingrad. The soldiers of the 38th Brigade demonstrated the knowledge of the top commanders of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War.
In the continuation of the event, a documentary film "The Battle of Stalingrad" by the agency "Voeninform" of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation was shown to the servicemen.
After the viewing, the discussion of the significance of one of the greatest battles of the XX century and its role in the victory over fascism took place.
The Presidential Library portal features electronic collection "Memory of the Great Victory". It includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, agitation and propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies from participants in combat engagements and home front workers, their personal documents, images of combat and labor awards, monuments and memorials complexes, thoughts about the war of grandsons and great-grandchildren of veterans.
