
The Presidential Library’s delegation visit in Hanoi
In the period from March 13 to 16, the representative of the Presidential Library, Deputy Chief Process Engineer A. V. Zaitsev visited Vietnam. With the support of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, he held meetings at the National Library of Vietnam, the Hanoi Library, as well as in the State Office for Recordkeeping and Archives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Vietnam.
The parties discussed the possibility of signing a memorandum on further cooperation, adding their electronic funds by exchanging materials, opening remote reading rooms of the Presidential Library on the basis of the mentioned organizations.
Taking this opportunity, representatives of libraries thanked the Russian Center for Science and Culture for their attentive attitude and cooperation, the opportunity to participate in the events of the RCSC, as well as for the constant enrichment of the library collections with works of Russian classical literature in Vietnamese translated within the Presidential Publishing Project.
The Presidential Library opened a remote electronic reading room at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi, giving its visitors the right to free access to their electronic fund. Officially, the RCSC will inform the Vietnamese public of this opportunity on March 23 at an event timed to the International Poetry Day.
On the portal of the Presidential Library the thematic collection "Russia-Vietnam: from the history of relationship" is presented in the public domain. It contains publications dedicated to the history of the Vietnamese people and its struggle for independence, the work of Russian and Vietnamese researchers revealing the internal and external economic development of the Socialist Republic Vietnam, as well as documents highlighting certain aspects of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation
