The National Library of Finland has announced it had launched a national e-program for the digitization of Finland's historical documents and material. The first of its kind in Europe, the e-program Digitalkoot (Digital Volunteers) harnesses the power of crowdsourcing to mobilize people to help digitize millions of pages of archive material.

Historical dictation “Leningrad Victory” based on the Presidential Library’s materials

On November 22, 2023, the historical dictation “Leningrad Victory” was held at the “Road of Life” museum in the Vsevolozhsk district of Leningrad Region. The event took place on the day the Road of Life ice track began operating, marking the year of the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad and on the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege, which will be celebrated on January 27, 2024.

At the 36th plenary meeting the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS Member States adopted the model law “On Basics of Internet Regulation”, which was worked out by the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEK).

The company "Yandex" has launched a new version of the search. It is based on the search algorithm "Korolev". The algorithm uses a neural network to match the meaning of queries and web pages - this allows Yandex to more accurately respond to complex queries.
