Institute of Presidency in Russia
The office of President was introduced in Russia in 1991. The President of the Russian Federation is the Head of State, guarantor of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, as well as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The collection includes legislative acts, studies, manuals, video records, texts of speeches, and other materials related to the activities of the President of the Russian Federation and of the agencies ensuring his work.
Arrangement of the material in the first two sections is based on the structure of the scientific bibliography, "The Institution of Presidency in Russia" elaborated by the Office of Information and Document Support of the President of the Russian Federation (Moscow, 2012).
Inside the sections materials are presented in a straight chronological order, which allows tracing the historical stages of development of the presidency in our country.
In total, the collection numbers 290 units.
Working on the collection the authors used the holdings of the Library of the Department of Affairs of the President of the Russian Federation, the Archive of the President of the Russian Federation, the website of the President of the Russian Federation, the Center for Information Technologies and Systems of the executive authorities, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and other sources.
