Methodical meeting held for employees of Kurtamysh Special educational institution

As part of cooperation and collaboration with Tyumen Branch of the Presidential Library, teachers of Kurtamysh Special Educational Institution planned a visit to two electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library located in Tyumen Region on October 29th, 2024.

First, they visited the branch of the Presidential Library located in Tyumen  based on the Mendeleev Tyumen Regional Scientific Library, where they had a guided tour of the building and a methodical meeting with the team of the branch. Chief Bibliographer Natalia Kuznetsova informed visitors about the possibilities of utilizing the resources of the Presidential Library's online portal and introduced us to current competitions and projects.

The methodologist of the branch, Lyudmila Marchenko, and the deputy director, Fyodor Tikhonov, shared their experience of working with  Zavodoukovskaya Secondary School No. 2. They discussed practical methods for using information resources from the library, both in scheduled and extracurricular activities.

During the meeting, teachers were demonstrated various materials from the Presidential Library's collections, such as Memory of the Great VictoryTyumen Region - Pages of History, and Constitution - Basic Law. These resources were used by teachers in their work with different groups of students.

Together with the deputy director of the branch for development Yaroslavna Solgaeva, the teachers from special educational institution visited another electronic reading room based at the Gymnasium No. 16 in Tyumen.

The director of the gymnasium, Natalia Filippi, and the teacher-librarian, Elena Fomenko, gave a tour of the facility to the special educational institution's staff, introducing them to projects that were implemented jointly with Tyumen branch, as well as pedagogical practices for integrating the resources of the Presidential Library into the educational process.

The teachers from Kurtamysh special educational institution expressed a great interest in this experience, noting its usefulness and practicality.
