The exhibition Scenes of Nature marks the beginning of the Open Collection program, launched by ROSPHOTO for its anniversary. The exhibition provides insight into the formation of landscape photography genre in Russia in the second half of XIX – early XX century, showcasing museum-owned works by such outstanding photographers as William Carrick, Maxim Dmitriev, Evgeny Vishnyakov, Mikhail Nastyukov, Andrey Karelin, and others.

The exhibition We Became Adults at the Front is presented at the Museum of Military Medicine (St. Petersburg). The exhibition is dedicated to the work of the museum’s front-line brigades during the Great Patriotic War and shows rare works by Soviet artists and photographers from the museum’s collection. Special front-line brigades consisted of painters, a photographer and a pathologist.

The Presidential Library features a rare 1815 publication “Pictures of St. Petersburg, presented in twenty entertaining views of the city, carriages and people”. Each image is dedicated to a specific month of the year and is accompanied by historical commentary. The album can be viewed in the electronic reading room of the library and in all remote access centers in Russia and abroad.

The Museum of Political History of Russia (St. Petersburg) opened an exhibition “Graphics of the Siege: feat, everyday life, memory”. The exhibition presents the works of artists who survived the Siege of Leningrad - Elena Marttila, Nikolai Muratov, Alexei Pakhomov, Alexander Kharshak and others. There are both finished works and sketches, painted in a manner far from the canons of Soviet official art. Some works will be exhibited for the first time.
