On September 8, 2021, the Sakhalin Regional Universal Scientific Library delivered a lecture Foreign Policy of Peter. The Great Northern War for the eighth-graders of School No. 5. The event marked the 300th anniversary of the end of the Northern War.

The construction of the railway along the Salekhard-Igarka Arctic Circle, also known as the "dead road", can be considered one of the most ambitious projects of the Gulag. The Maritime Exhibition Center of the Museum of the World Ocean in Svetlogorsk (Kaliningrad Region) launched the most "northern" project entitled "Many Peoples - One Country". "Days of the Hermitage" started in Vladivostok. The festival, which takes place for the first time, is dedicated to long-term cooperation of the Maritime Art Gallery to the main museum of the Northern capital. It started back in the 30s, when from the Hermitage to the Far East were transferred to canvas by Dutch, German and French masters. These paintings became the basis of the maritime collection.
