On June 27, a meeting with the residents of the Guangdongyuan community of Beijing's Haidian District took place at the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing as part of the mission to promote Russian culture in the People's Republic of China and the formation of a positive image of our country abroad. The meeting was attended by representatives of the older generation, members of the Communist Party of China, already retired.

New remote access center is the result of the implementation of signed on August 4, 2017, cooperation agreement between two institutions.

New documents from the personal archives of residents of besieged Leningrad entered the Presidential Library's collections

January 27, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege. By this date, the Presidential Library’s collections entered with new materials from the family archives of the Ivanov-Rozhnovskys, Malakhovs, and Kulikovs. These are documents, photographs, letters, memories and diaries of residents of the besieged city. The materials are available on the library's portal and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

"Сity that does not exist?...": Donbass resident's photo exhibition presented on Presidential Library's portal

The Presidential Library's portal presents an electronic photo exhibition "City that does not exist?...". Its author is Vladimir Dedov, a resident of Severodonetsk, an active participant of the Russian Spring in Donbass in 2014. The exhibition is part of a travelling project created with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The exhibition tells about the city of Severodonetsk, its enterprises and residents.

Forty years ago the librarians at the Tennessee State Library and Archives in Nashville (USA) began an ambitious and arduous task. As the library collected books full of biographical information on famous and not-so-famous Tennesseans, the staff began creating a printed index of everyone mentioned in the books as a reference tool for researchers, scholars and anyone interested.

Internet and society: About half of Russian citizens are the Internet users

Today, about half of the residents of the Russian Federation use the Internet. These data were presented by the TNS Gallup, according to the report of which almost 70.8 million of Russian citizens over 12 years old accessed the Internet this April, whereas in the beginning of the year the Federal Statistics Service of the Russian Federation totaled about 143 million of residents. In other words, half of the residents of the country access the Internet.
