The Katav-Ivanovsk District Library has become the 55th Chelyabinsk Region’s center of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library. Within the framework of the “Counter-Movement” project, the institution signed a cooperation agreement with the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library.

The archive of the periodical has been made available in digital format.

In early July an official opening of a remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library took place in Chelyabinsk Oblast. A library for children and adults of the Central Library System of Troitsk named “TeMA” accommodated its premises. This was made possible with signed on July 4, 2017, agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Central Library System of Troitsk.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the "black lists" of web sites with a gap of information in the Russian Federation. It is about the amendments to the law "On protection of children from information harmful to their health and development" and some legislative acts of the Russian Federation, adopted by the State Duma on July 11, 2012 and approved by the State Council on July 18.

The Presidential Library's portal presents an electronic photo exhibition "City that does not exist?...". Its author is Vladimir Dedov, a resident of Severodonetsk, an active participant of the Russian Spring in Donbass in 2014. The exhibition is part of a travelling project created with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The exhibition tells about the city of Severodonetsk, its enterprises and residents.

New documents from the personal archives of residents of besieged Leningrad entered the Presidential Library's collections
27 January 2024
January 27, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege. By this date, the Presidential Library’s collections entered with new materials from the family archives of the Ivanov-Rozhnovskys, Malakhovs, and Kulikovs. These are documents, photographs, letters, memories and diaries of residents of the besieged city. The materials are available on the library's portal and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
