“My mother and me are almost the same...” - said the famous Russian poet of the XX century Alexander Blok, whose birthday this year symbolically coincides with the annual Mother's Day - November 28. The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Alexander Blok (1880-1921), which includes digital copies of rare lifetime editions of the writer, memoirs of contemporaries, photographs of Alexander Blok and people of his entourage.

In 2011 the Federal Archival Agency (Federal Archives) of Russia returned some 6,000 historical documents, which for different reasons turned out abroad, announced the Head of the Federal Archival Agency Andrei Artizov at the meeting of the Federal Archival Agency’s Board on March 14 2012.

The Cottage Palace and the Gothic Chapel in the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve have been restored. The restoration of both monuments built in the 1830s in neo-Gothic style was begun in 2018.

On the day of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9 in Finland, commemorative events were held in honor of the fallen Soviet soldiers. The staff of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Finland, led by Dmitry Lyashenko, the acting head of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Helsinki, laid flowers at the mass grave of Soviet soldiers in the central cemetery of Porvoo and lit memorial candles.
