Marking the 78th anniversary of the uprising in the Nazi death camp Sobibor, the State Archives of the Russian Federation and the Alexander Pechersky Foundation presented a new Internet project - a collection of materials about Sobibor from Russian and foreign archives. In total, the portal contains more than 200 documents. Many of them were released for the first time.

Now films and video lectures prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as the country's leading film studios, are broadcast around the clock, seven days a week. The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve launched new formats of online work. Now Internet users got an opportunity not only to watch video tours of the most interesting exhibitions and expositions of the museum but also to participate in online workshops and learn new things about the history and architecture of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery from posts and blogs in official groups of social networks. In April, museum specialists will launch a new "Tales" section on their information websites.

Educator”, dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the birth of the great scientist-polymath and the 150th anniversary of discovery of the Periodic Law of Chemical Elements. January 31, 2018, on the eve of this significant date, a multimedia lesson "Kurgan Region: Pages of History" was held at the A. K. Yugov Kursk Regional Universal Scientific Library for schoolchildren of the school № 29. On June 1, the Children's Day, the Presidential Library's Poetry Club will host a virtual event called “Children's Poetry Day”. From 12:00 Moscow time on the official page of the Poetry Club on the VKontakte social network, a series of videos will be published, where employees of the Presidential Library’s user service department will read children's poems from the collection’s materials that are publicly available on the institution’s portal.

Google Inc.'s six-year struggle to bring all the world's books to the Internet suffered another big setback at the hands of a federal judge. Judge Denny Chin, in a ruling filed in U.S. district court in Manhattan, rejected a 2008 settlement that Google forged with the Authors Guild and the Association of American Publishers to make millions of books available via Google Books.
