Conference "Teachers and mentors: the Russian Navy to be!" to take place at the Presidential Library

On October 28, 2022, on the eve of the 326th anniversary of the creation of the regular Russian Navy, the Presidential Library at 10:00 Moscow time will host a scientific and practical conference “Teachers and mentors: the Russian Navy to be!”. The event will follow the theme of 2022, dedicated to the anniversary of Peter the Great, the founder of the Russian Navy, with the theme of next year, declared by the President of Russia as the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.

Professional competitions, forums and festivals will be held throughout 2023, – Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of the Education of the Russian Federation, said during a meeting of President of Russia Vladimir Putin with members of the government.

The Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted the quest “In search of a teacher”. The event was timed to coincide with the Year of Teachers and Mentors.

Russian romantic poet, friend of Pushkin and Karamzin, mentor of the imperial family and author of the words of the anthem of the Russian Empire “God Save the Tsar!” Vasily Andreevich Zhukovsky was born on February 9, 1783 in the village of Mishenskoye, Tula province. He was the illegitimate son of the landowner Afanasy Bunin and a captured Turkish woman, and received his patronymic and surname from his adoptive father, the impoverished nobleman Andrei Zhukovsky.
