Concert commemorating Great Victory held at Presidential Library
On 7 May 2025, the Presidential Library hosted a gala event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The concert was organised by the Administration of the Admiralty District of St. Petersburg, the Peaceful People Social Initiatives Foundation and the Presidential Library.

7 May (25 April Old Style) 1840 in the small town of Votkinsk, Vyatka governorate, in the family of a mining engineer, head of the Kamsko-Votkinsk plant, was born Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Presidential Library held training seminar for foreign schoolchildren and students
In the framework of the partnership agreement with the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution "Centre for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation" the Presidential Library held a training seminar for foreign schoolchildren and students - future teachers of Russian language and Russian language subjects abroad, studying in Russian and foreign higher education institutions implementing programmes at the E. D. Stasova International School "Interdom" in Ivanovo on May 6, 2025. The event was held in the video-conference mode and was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On 5 May 2025, the Presidential Library opened the multimedia exhibition "Chroniclers of History. The Spiral of Time through the Lenses of Cameras".
Documents of Presidential Library tell about siege history of Obukhov Plant
The Presidential Library's collection continues to be enriched with electronic copies of documents from the Museum of Obukhov Plant History (from 1922 to 1992 - Bolshevik Plant). The materials digitised by the Presidential Library tell about the work of the plant during the Great Patriotic War. Diary entries and photographs give an opportunity to learn how the factory workers lived and worked in besieged Leningrad.

To mark the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Presidential Library presents films and video lectures about the heroism of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. We offer you to get acquainted with the most striking film screenings, which will be shown on the library's TV channel on the eve of Victory Day and on 9 May.
